Hillary’s Lifetime Commitment

Yes, I support Hillary and have since 2008. Bernie Sanders has indeed brought millennials into the fold and that’s great. Being little known to the public, his introduction to them is by default his message. Hillary, I think, hasn’t introduced herself to other millennials yet. The rest of us know her, what she has always stood for and her character, like her or not. Hillary is giving real answers that deliver right now for real people. Read more…

Electoral College: Meet Trump

I have been interested in history and politics since middle school, even choosing to study politics and international relations in college. As Americans, we learned a bit about the Constitution and some of its parts. Some seem to only know the 2nd Amendment and throw the word ‘unconstitutional’ around as though they actually knew what it meant. However, there is one part that has always baffled us, especially since the presidential election of 2000: the electoral college.  Read more…

While I Was Away

dnaI have been silent and cloaked from sight for the last few years. Perhaps this next phase of writing may be a solo therapeutic activity; perhaps it will explain to those who knew me what has happened and why I went silent. I have spent much of my life trying to strategically say, write and do things that no one or job would then turn it around, criticize or use it against me concerning my health. That really no longer makes a difference. Read more…

A Great Dane

Danes invented Lego.

I’ve recently been to Seattle for the second time. I chose to stay in a hostel in contrast to hotels for the first time to gain the experience that I never gained. I think my most memorable and significant part of my entire trip was a roommate from Denmark. Read more…

Land of the Free

“Now the trumpet summons us again—not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need; not as a call to battle, though embattled we are—but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle, year in and year out, “rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation”—a struggle against the common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself.” — John F. Kennedy, Inaugural Address

America has always been considered the “land of the free.” It’s been whispered and shouted from basement to rooftop Read more…

Being Fine

We are all fine. I’ve heard that word or fake emotion my entire life from most every one at least once. I’ve said it before quite often in my life not ever truly realizing its significance. I stopped a few years ago when I began to realize that we cannot be ‘fine.’

My Airline Hate Curse

The furthest I’d been by last May 2012 was the Caribbean, so my yearning to go farther away and “feel” the air and walk the ground of places across vast oceans separating America from essentially the entire world, had become almost an ache.

There’s not much that discourages me. So I throughly planned my month-long European escape, realizing how lucky I was to do such a thing, but honestly at the same time feeling that I deserved it. London and Paris had been in my sights Read more…

My Truth

The truth is among us. Honestly, ignore those that reject my truth or if it generates chills. However, I will keep this all separate for now directly from my personal life. I’m building a new, far better than before life for myself; the one I always knew I could have if I truly wanted or would let myself reach. Truthfully, I’m already pushing forward; don’t let oneself settle no matter the age.

Be Excellent: Equality for All

I believe heavily in truth, love, kindness, and most of all strength, honor, no violence and no hate. I believe it’s those values that free people from the tyranny of the majority throughout history. In the words of Martin Luther King, Jr, “Be excellent.” This excellence I think has continually been passed-down to generations and concentrates within a part of a generation that is struggling with in some cases outright oppression, hostility or inequality.
